Methyglyoxal (MGO) is an organic compound found specifically in Mānuka Honey, and this compound is what gives this honey its unique and well-sought antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. The higher the MGO rating, the more potent a honey’s medicinal qualities are. 

This grade is great to take daily by the spoon for general health and well-being. It can also be used topically as a hydrating face-mask, or add raw granulated sugar, and it’s a healthy non-toxic body and lip scrub.
