The team behind the dream
Owned and operated from the North Island of New Zealand; Taste & See NZ is a Honey, Orchard Pollination and Beekeeping business run by husband and wife team, Levi & Monica Whitehead.
Meet Levi
Levi is the Head Beekeeper here at TAS and he is our go-to guy for all things bees. He is the cogs and wheels of this operation, being in charge of the beekeeping, orchard pollination, commercial honey sales and overall management of this small business.
Born and raised into a whole family of beekeepers in the Bay of Islands, Levi is now raising his own family in the Bay of Plenty while working full-time as a Commercial Beekeeper. Levi has been in the hives since he was 13yo and absolutely loves the work.
Off the clock, Levi is an avid footballer carving up the field on Saturdays. He loves a good book, especially a theological one, and if he's not jamming on the guitar at home, he'll be listening to podcasts or audiobooks on his long drives between bee-sites.
Meet Monica
Monica is on the front line for Taste & See, running the Social Media & Marketing, while also ticking away behind-the-scenes with administration, accounts, and packing your beautiful orders.
Originally from windy Wellington, she's spent most of her life in Auckland where she and Levi met during their studies. Monica is a part-time beekeeper, mainly during Spring/Summer for Pollination & Honey-take and works full-time in the home for their family.
Off the clock, Moni is a kitchen superstar! If she's home, there's no doubt that something is cooking away on the stove or baking in the oven. She is a lover of singing, constantly filling her home with her voice and enjoys a good cuppa with her slippers and a book.
The team behind the dream
"It has always been a dream of ours to start a business together, and we’re so thankful to get to live our dream through such an exciting industry! Bees are incredible creatures and we are so blessed to work with them and harvest one of New Zealand's purest health foods.
This adventure is so dear to our hearts and is very much interwoven with our lives. We hope that you, as our community, can be part of our lives along with it. Thank you for stopping by and we pray that you too would taste and see that the Lord is good!"
